Thanks so much for the CS Lewis quote - that was exactly what I was going for - so you've really helped add to and clarify the point.
First, idols are things we think we have power over and can use - and then the powerless suddenly has power of us - an odd paradox, isn't it?
Enjoyed that. I love his sincerity and humility.
